What is Mountain Al Fresco?

Mountain Al Fresco is a themed pop-up picnic event. Everything is white, from the decorations to the plates to the diner’s outfits! As the name means, this dining experience takes place outdoors in Invermere, BC! Event attendees will enjoy an evening of entertainment, delicious food and great company. This event will take place at a secret location and is to be revealed on the day of the event by text or email.

This unique dining experience has taken place annually in Invermere for the past five years. Saturday, July 6 with be the fifth edition! We provide the entertainment, scenic location, chairs and tables. You come dressed in white with table décor and a homemade picnic. Once your table is beautifully decorated, sit back and enjoy dining al fresco.

An alfresco activity, especially a meal, is one that takes place in the open air. The phrase al fresco is Italian and when used in the Canadian/ USA relative to dining or restaurants it means outside, or in the fresh air.

Dress Code

Guests must wear ALL white, from head to toe. Be original and classy – the impact of this event is greatly increased when everyone takes a few extra moments to plan an outfit ahead of time.

White attire, tables, and dinner ware create a distinction between guests and the surrounding environment and onlookers. With the theme of building community, white is the color of ALL colors when brought together. There is beauty in seeing people from so many places simultaneously stream into a central location; all dressed for a similar cause.

What's Included/Not Included?


Band & DJ, seating/tables and sparklers. If you purchase a meal you will also receive napkins & utensils.

Dinner Options:

You are welcome to bring your own three course dinner in paper containers, or select a meal option from one of our participating restaurants.


Alcohol will be available to purchase and must be purchased on site- at the cash only bar. Our alcohol policy doesn’t allow guests to bring their own alcohol to the event.  NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED!

What to Bring:

Any other items of comfort (it is an outdoor event) – umbrellas, sweaters, etc.

This is an ADULTS ONLY event, and all guests must have purchased tickets. 

There is a registration deadline, so be sure to register promptly.

Please no pets, no minors.

The location will be announced on the same day of the event. Please keep an eye on your email!
